Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

1. Preface

Beloved religious friends, cherished by Allah. Psychologically, true human happiness does not come from what we consume, but from what we contribute. Our existence in this world is not merely for surviving, but for becoming meaningful. Our soul has a natural “radar”; it will feel empty if it is only filled with material matters like eating, drinking, and shelter. Yet it will shine and feel at peace when we do something purely out of love for the Creator. This is what we call spiritual integrity—a condition where the heart and actions are aligned in devotion to Him.

2. Explanation

A person’s worth in the sight of God is not determined by the size of their bank balance or the grandeur of their house, but by the traces of benefit they leave behind. This life is like someone transiting at an airport; none of the facilities in the waiting lounge can be taken along when the departing flight arrives. Our ticket and passport for the eternal journey are righteous deeds alone.Let us reflect on the revealed foundation and the Prophet’s words regarding provisions for this journey:A. Qur’anic Verse (On Hoping to Meet God)

فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوْا لِقَاۤءَ رَبِّهٖ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا

“So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord—let him do righteous work.” (QS. Al-Kahf: 110)B. The Saying of the Messenger ﷺ (On the Focus of Allah’s Assessment)

“Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds.” (HR. Muslim No. 2564)

3. Lessons and Message

From this analogy of the journey, there are several lofty moral messages for us:The Currency of the Hereafter: Sincerity in doing good is the only currency valid in the Hereafter. Do not be so busy building a worldly “kingdom” that will certainly be left behind, while forgetting to save provisions for a journey from which there is no return.Evaluating Time: Of the 24 hours Allah gives us, how much do we truly dedicate purely to Him? Let it not be that when asked, “Which was specifically for Me?”, we fall silent in shame because all our time was spent on ourselves.Reward Points vs. Shopping Points: We are often meticulous in counting discount points or shopping rewards, yet neglect to count our reward points. Remember that the luxury items in our homes will not follow us into the grave to keep us company. The Broad Path of Goodness: The paths to Allah are as many as the breaths of His creatures. Something small like feeding a hungry animal or restraining oneself from hurting another’s heart can become a deed that elevates one’s rank before Him.

4. Conclusion

Beloved brothers and sisters, let us ask ourselves every night before closing our eyes: “If I am called home tomorrow, what one thing have I done today purely for You, O Allah?”This world is the place to plant, and the Hereafter is the place to harvest. Make sure the “suitcase” we take home is filled with sincere deeds and widespread benefit for others. May Allah always guide every step we take so that it holds the value of worship before Him
