1. Introduction
Beloved, God-conscious friends, sociologically speaking, the existence of a nation is not measured by the size of its territory, but by the firmness of its heroes’ principles. Scientifically, courage is the result of deep conviction that transcends the fear of death. When a person dares to say “No” to oppression, he is actually activating a spiritual energy capable of uniting the hearts of millions of others. A tranquil soul is one that knows honor belongs only to Allah, and defending it is the highest form of devotion to humanity.
2. Explanation
Qur’anic and Hadith Evidence
A. Qur’anic Verse (On the Life of the Martyrs):
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ قُتِلُوْا فِيْ سَبِيْلِ للّٰهِ اَمْوَاتًا ۗ بَلْ اَحْيَاۤءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُوْنَ
“And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.” (QS. Ali ‘Imran: 169)
B. The Saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (On Muslim Brotherhood):
الْمُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشُدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا
“A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts support each other.” (HR. Bukhari & Muslim
3. Lessons and Message
The dignity of a nation is not bought with money, but paid for with sacrifice. We learn from those who stand tall amid material emptiness, yet are rich in self-worth. The mujahideen and the fighters who refuse to submit to tyranny are beacons for Muslims across the world. They have acted in the name of all our honor. If we cannot yet stand on the front lines with them, at the very least let us not become a burden or a traitor to their struggle. Recall the figure of Youssef al-Azmeh, a hero who chose to sleep beneath the earth rather than see his homeland trampled by foreigners. Or look at our brothers and sisters in Gaza today; they are the last fortress guarding the dignity of the ummah. Sometimes we cannot imagine how heavy the burden they bear. While the world closes its eyes, they still say “No” for the sake of the honor of this religion. Their tears are not a sign of weakness, but ink writing a new history of courage. May Allah inspire us to give everything precious for them. The honor of a nation is like a golden crown placed atop a steep mountain. Everyone wants to wear it, but only a few dare to climb the sharp cliffs and brave the storms to keep it from falling into the mud of disgrace. The fighters are the ones who climb; they may be bloodied, yet as long as they hold the crown, the entire nation below the mountain remains seen as noble and dignified. We can be funny sometimes. We proudly claim to be a great ummah, but when we see our brothers struggling, we are busy commenting on the news through our phone screens while snacking on crackers on a soft sofa. We want this nation to have dignity, yet we ourselves are still too lazy to wake up for Fajr. We want the enemy defeated, yet we ourselves are defeated by sleepiness. Remember, prayer is important, but “prayer without effort” is like someone who wants to be full but only enjoys reading the restaurant menu without ever ordering food!
4. Conclusion
Dear brothers and sisters, the martyrs and fighters have done their part in elevating the dignity of the nation. Now our task is to support them with all our ability—with prayer, with wealth, and with unity of heart. Do not let them struggle alone, for their victory is the honor of us all
