Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim

1. Opening

Beloved religious friends whom Allah loves, psychologically, humans are social beings who read energy and attitude before reading words. Research in behavioral science shows that people are more likely to trust someone because of their character and warmth than merely their intellectual brilliance. Scientifically, our brains have mirror neurons that react to how others treat us. Adab_—manners—is the way we send positive signals to our surroundings. A soul with _adab is one that can place the ego beneath respect for others, because intelligence without manners is just neatly wrapped arrogance.2. Explanation (Scriptural Foundation & Analogy)

The importance of guarding the tongue and the primary mission of prophethood in refining human character is conveyed in the following evidences:A. On Speaking Good Words: وَقُولُوا لِلنَّاسِ حُسْنًا

“…and speak to people good words.”B. On the Purpose of the Messenger’s ﷺ Mission: إِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ لِأُتَمِّمَ صَالِحَ الْأَخْلَاقِ

“Indeed, I was sent only to perfect righteous character.”Adab is like a vessel (a glass), while knowledge is its water. No matter how much water you have, if you do not have an intact vessel, the water will spill in vain. A cracked glass—bad manners—will make even the clearest knowledge go to waste. Own a strong and clean vessel, so the knowledge you hold can bring benefit to the world.3. Lessons and Message

Adab comes before knowledge. A highly knowledgeable person without manners is like a towering tree with no roots; it will easily fall and injure anyone beneath it. Remember, Iblis was not expelled from Paradise for lack of knowledge, but because arrogance overtook his heart. These times are unique; many people have “pious” thumbs in comment sections, yet in real life they scowl when meeting a neighbor. We can type long-winded advice on social media, but snap when our parents ask for help. How moving it is to see a genius professor humbly kiss the hand of an old mosque caretaker, while a young person who has just learned one or two evidences already dares to rebuke his parents. A person’s dignity is not determined by titles, but by their humility before others.4. Conclusion

My noble brothers and sisters, make adab the most beautiful adornment in your life. Knowledge may make you known, but it is adab that will make you loved by the inhabitants of earth and earn the pleasure of the Inhabitants of Heaven. Let us improve the way we interact, because indeed, the most perfect faith is the one with the best character. In the Hereafter, the angels will not check how many likes your wise posts received, but how you spoke to the people closest to you
