1. Opening

Beloved religious friends whom Allah loves, psychologically, the act of giving or philanthropy triggers a phenomenon called the “Helper’s High.” When we give charity, the brain releases endorphins that bring a natural sense of calm and satisfaction. Yet, scientifically and mathematically, charity is often seen as a “reduction” of wealth. This is where the miracle lies: in the ecosystem of life, charity acts as the law of circulation. Wealth that is given away does not vanish, but is being “cleansed” of the germ of greed so that what remains becomes healthier and grows. Charity is the way humans break the chains of anxiety about the future by entrusting it to the Owner of the Future.2. Explanation (Scriptural Foundation & Analogy)

The certainty of the blessings of charity has been guaranteed by Allah SWT and His Messenger through the following evidences:A. The Parable of Multiplying Charity: مَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ يُنْفِقُوْنَ اَمْوَالَهُمْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ اَنْبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِيْ كُلِّ سُنْبُلَةٍ مِّائَةُ حَبَّةٍ ۗ وَاللّٰهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills…”B. The Reality of Wealth Given in Charity: مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ

“Charity does not decrease wealth.”Charity is like pruning the branches of a tree. To a layperson, cutting branches may look destructive. But to a wise farmer, pruning is a way to focus nutrients on the productive parts, so the tree actually bears more fruit. The same applies to wealth; without charity, it will only become a heavy, leafy burden without blessing.3. Lessons and Message

Charity is proof of the sincerity of faith. The word “sadaqah” comes from the root shidq, which means truthfulness. A person’s faith is only called truthful if they dare to let go of something they love (wealth) for the sake of something they believe in (Allah’s promise). Wealth that we consume will become waste, what we store will become inheritance, but what we give in charity will become a loyal companion in the grave. We often have a “sensitive wallet.” At the mall, 500 thousand feels cheap, yet in front of the charity box, 5 thousand suddenly feels so heavy. We can pay 10 thousand for parking without expecting change, but when we give 10 thousand in charity, we already expect Paradise without reckoning. Remember, the angels do not need your shopping receipts, but they record the sincerity of your “transaction” with Allah. Take as an example the “giant” soul of a shoe repairman who gave all his Hajj savings to a sick neighbor; he may have failed to physically depart for the House of Allah, but in the records of heaven, he had already “arrived” before his feet ever stepped out.4. Conclusion

My brothers and sisters, charity is heaven’s technology for multiplying tranquility. It is not about how large the amount you give, but how much love you include in that giving. Let us make “the upper hand” our lifestyle. Do not let wealth rule your heart, but make it your vehicle toward His pleasure. May every rupiah we spend in the way of Allah become a witness that defends us on the Day of Reckoning
