Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

1. Preface

Extraordinary religious friends. Psychologically, the act of deliberately delaying other people’s affairs without a legitimate reason is called Passive-Aggressive Behavior. This action gives the perpetrator a false sense of “power,” yet scientifically, it damages mental integrity and creates a subconscious burden of repressed guilt.A tranquil soul is one that loves to ease the affairs of others. When we facilitate someone else’s matter, our brain releases serotonin, bringing long-term happiness. Easing affairs is not merely an administrative duty; it is the best therapy for mental health and inner peace.

2. Explanation

The position and the signature in your hand are a trust, not a tool for arrogance. We often take lightly the word “Tomorrow” said to those in distress, when one minute for you could mean a whole night of suffering for someone else.Life is like a great mirror. If you clear the path for others, destiny will do the same for you. But if you place thorns on others’ paths, then in the future, those same thorns will await your own footsteps. Never think that an office desk can shield us from God’s law; that desk is merely a temporary stage to test the quality of our humanity. As our foundation, let us reflect on the following word of Allah SWT and the saying of the Messenger

ﷺ:A. Qur’anic Evidence (On Recompense in Kind)

جَزَاۤءً وِّفَاقًاۗ

“As a fitting recompense.” (QS. An-Naba': 26)

B. The Saying of the Messenger ﷺ (On the Prayer Against Leaders/Officials)

اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ أُمَّتِي شَيْئًا فَشَقَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَاشْقُقْ عَلَيْهِ

O Allah, whoever is given authority over any affair of my ummah and makes it difficult for them, make things difficult for him.” (HR. Muslim No. 1828)

3. Lessons and Message

From this phenomenon, there are several important lessons we can draw:Trust Is a Test: A person’s honor lies in how many matters he resolves, not in how many people he makes wait.Law of Cause and Effect: Remember the natural law God established: Whoever harms will be harmed, and whoever makes things difficult will be made difficult.Sincerity in Service: Do not be diligent in worship, praying for smooth provision, while at the same time becoming an obstacle to other people’s provision and affairs. If we often make others’ “blood pressure rise” because we bounce their affairs back and forth, do not be surprised if one day we meet an officer far slower than us.Empathy in Duty: Imagine if our position were switched with those who have traveled far in exhaustion and must return home heartbroken just because of our ego. The tears of the oppressed are a “time bomb” that can explode at any moment in our lives.

4. Conclusion

Beloved brothers and sisters, have taqwa toward Allah in serving others. One signature you give quickly and sincerely can be a key to Paradise, but one neglectful word “Tomorrow” can become a door to misery.Let us make every act of service a field of good deeds. Ease the affairs of His servants on earth, and Allah SWT will ease your affairs in this world and in the Hereafter.
